Label the entry
Decide whether you are recording ordinary penalty totals or the result of a confirmed moon. The scorebook provides separate entry modes so that these are not silently mixed.
Read all four names
Confirm each player’s value aloud before adding the hand. Keep the seat order stable when renaming players. A correct-looking cumulative total can hide a value entered in the wrong column.
Use validation as a check
The tool checks numerical consistency, not the actual cards played. If it rejects an entry, compare the captured penalties and chosen mode. Do not invent a balancing number to make the form accept the hand.
Correct openly
Undo the newest hand and re-enter it if needed. For an earlier mistake, export the original record before rebuilding the session. Keep a note for a correction that would otherwise be hard to understand.
